In those commercials for the Softwin razor with the men who only shaved half their face, what the hell is going on?

In those new IBM commercials, are the spokespeople Wild Bill from “The Green Mile” and the older brother on “Blossom”?
As the men pass a billboard of the razor, the half of their faces closest to it is clean shaven. (I guess it’s supposed to imply the razor is soooo good, you only need to be in the general vacinity for a close shave)
I was guessing that it gives such a smooth shave that the guys got shaved and did not even know it.

That sounds like a hair removal creme commercial/infomercial I once saw. They applied this creme to half of a man’s face. After 5 days (supposedly) without shaving, the creme-treated half was hair-free, and the other side was covered with an unsightly mass of stubble.
I wonder if that guy really walked around like that for 5 days.
Or how about the ‘Cheese Bits’ commercial that shows that mice want this product SOooo bad that they are willing to beat up a cat for it? We want ‘super mice’ so please buy our cheesy product??? Nope, I’ll pass and get the watered down version and let the mice stay outside, thank you very much!
Or commercials that you have to guess what the stew the product even is? Quick scenes of naked feet turned out to be about deodorant, NOT for feet either!
Not only that, you only have to be in the vicinity of a picture of the razor!
