I’m not sure how to “cite” other than to say this… google search “microwave dangers”. There are 955,000 results listed. It’s always been a gut feeling that microwaves are just wrong, just like teflon pans, fish farming, living on KD and the list goes on. There’s always something to sacrifice for the sake of convenience. Marketing geniuses can suck $ out of anyone. I don’t debate about things as a rule, I just do what makes sense to me.
No, actually there are 1,890 results for ‘microwave dangers’ and many of them are debunking the myth that microwaves are dangerous. If you do a search without the quotes, you get all the results with one or the other word and sometimes both.

Bullpucky. There is very little difference between letting it thaw ‘naturally’ and heating it using heat generated by running an electric current through metal coils an using heat generated by vibrating the molecules in the congee.
If you really felt serious that magnetic waves were so evil, you would live in a wooden house with no interior wiring and cook over a wood or charcoal source of heat. Computers would be right out - radiation coming from the screen don’tchaknow.
