Quick help please? Soup too sweet

I made this soup for my clients, and it’s good but I think it’ll taste too sweet for them. It has red pepper/tomato base, peppers, corn, and turkey, so…well, it’s fairly sweet.
I think I can put my hands on some basalmic vinegar here, but the gent hates vinegar so I have to be sure that it won’t taste vinegary.
Suggestions? Thanks!

Salt? Pepper?

I know to cut saltiness you add sugar, but I don’t know if it works in reverse.

Take a small scoop of soup and put it into a bowl, and experiment on that. If vinegar is out of the question, I dunno… lime juice?

I think it’s okay. They’re eating it and they seem happy enough. It’s still good…just a little more sweet than I’d like. Still better than frozen Stauffer skillet meals, though. Thanks, guys.
