Quick hulu question

Anyone well-versed in the art of hulu-watching around who can help me? I’ve never used hulu before today. I started watching a movie for free during lunch at my desk. Now I knew going in that I wouldn’t be able to watch the whole thing and planned to watch 40 or so minutes a day until I’d finished it.

It belatedly occurred to me that I might not be able to pick up where I left off. When I finished watching, I stopped the movie, clicked out of that page, re-searched for the movie and tried picking up where I left off. Sure enough, it started over.

And, belatedly+, it occurred to me that perhaps if I’d registered I migh have had more options. So I did. And it still did not let me.

I guess my question is, do I have to suffer though the 30 minutes I’ve already watched and then will it subsequently let me pick up where I stop, now that I’ve registered … or am I pretty much screwed when it comes to this?

Must I always watch the entire thing I select, I guess is my main question. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I don’t know if they use a different player for movies than they do for TV episodes, but I’m pretty sure not. You should be able to skip to the specific spot where you left off. You might have to sit through a commercial, but it’ll go to that spot without any trouble; you just need to remember where you stopped the last time.

There is a slider at the bottom of the window once you get past the ads. Just move it forward to the time you want to start.

Wonderful. Thanks to you both.
