Quick Sopranos question (unboxed spoilers)

Dad was getting into The Sopranos on whatever basic cable channel they’ve been on lately…but I guess the station stopped abruptly during the series and went back to Season 1 Episode 1.

Now I’m hooking him up with the DVDs from Netflix (so he can see all the boobies and whatnot) but he doesn’t want to see the rpisodes he’s already seen.

(done with spoiler space?..ok)

I asked what the last episode he saw was and he said “Tony just got shot by Uncle Junior.” Am I correct in guessing that is the last episode of the first season? He seems to think he’s seen through season 3 but according to capsules on Wikipedia Season 1 seems more likely.

What episode did he last see?

That happened in Season 6, Episode 1

Really? Are you positive? Any other times he got shot by Uncle Junior?

It doesn’t seem like he watched 5 whole seasons already. Now I wonder if they were shown in chronological order or not.

Yeah, that’s the only time Junior actually shot him. Junior put a hit out on him at the end of season one but he himself didn’t do it (hired guys to do it), and it wasn’t as bad.

Ok, thanks guys. I’ll ask to make sure he didn’t mean “put a hit on” instead of “shot.”

Looks like he watches more TV than we thought

I have a friend who discovered The Sopranos last year and rented the DVD’s. He found them so compulsively watchable that I think he finished the entire series in a week.

Nitpick: It was Season 6, Part 1, ep.1 The Sixth Season was split into two parts, which are sold as separate box sets.

Junior did order a hit on Tony late in Season One (ep. 11 or 12, can’t recall which) but these are the only times anyone’s ever taken a shot at Tony.
