I’m a quiet person, but I don’t have a problem calling people on the telephone.
I do have a problem ordering food on the phone, on a drive thru, and in person. For some reason, I can’t order food.

I’m just about the quietest person I’ve ever met, but, oddly enough, I have no problem talking on the phone. In fact, if you called me on a good day, you may even come away with the impression that I’m a very talkative guy. It’s yet another of the odd, inconsistent things about me that I have yet to figure out.
My wife, OTOH, is shy, but markedly less so than myself in real life. Somehow, though, she’s incapable of picking up the phone and ordering a pizza.
Humans are weird.
Wowo - I love this place. Another thread that makes me feel normal. I did not relise so many people dislike or hate talking on the phone. And yes - it is downrigh impossible with little neices - I HATE it if someone tries to force me to spak to them.
But I feel bad that, truthfully, I feel too remote to care much and very quickly want to be away from phone.
Almost usefull, the agitation and anxiety thus caused gets together with teh IBS then I DO genuinely have to get off line and into bathroom fast.
Bah - talk about looking on the bright side!
