Howdya like them apples, quitter?
From linked article:
“The Times’ editorial originally accused a Palin GOP political action committee of distributing a map depicting Democratic lawmakers beneath crosshairs before the 2011 shooting of Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords in Arizona. The newspaper issued a correction noting the map showed electoral districts, not people, in crosshairs.”
Oh yeah, forgot about the crosshairs.
Possible campaign slogans:
Palin/Nugent 2020! We’re wonderful people! Really!
Nugent/Palin 2020! And you thought Trump was bad!!
Good to see her get her ass handed to her.
We can just name that ticket “Pungent” and call it a day.
Isn’t there a pedantic Latin legalistic phrase for “face plant”? Bricker? Judge Parker?
I bet he never tires of jokes about whether he’s on the take.
I wish she would just fade into obscurity already. Why is she still “newsworthy” at all??
Much like the pitch drop experiment, there’s just a few seconds every decade or so that she might say something coherent.
Reverend Spooner would have a good time with that name too.
Facia flora. Ipso facto, QED.
You need to ask the media outlets. They are the ones who chose who is, and is not, “newsworthy”.
I’m going out on a limb here: Former VP candidate sues one of the most well established newspapers in the country and has her ass handed to her.
Newsworthy or not? I’m gonna go with newsworthy. Point-and-laughingly so.
I gotta say (TRIGGER WARNING!), Doorhinge knows about laughing.
OK, so the Times article mistakenly thought Palin was targeting individuals with crosshairs, then realized it was actually voting districts she was targeting?
So why would she think the false reporting of her calling for individual killings would be worse than her calling for mass slaughter?
The problem she has is that someone took that map as LITERAL crosshairs and mowed down a Congresswoman and her constituents.
(post fragmented)
I did. They said to ask you.
Technically, it was an op-ed, which tend to have looser standards. Still, the claims were fact-checked and retracted before the lawsuit started (not in response to the lawsuit). Because that’s what “Fake News” does when it gets something wrong…it issues corrections.
Additionally, there is no conclusive link between the map and the shootings. Anyone is free to believe there is one, but any claim is opinion, not fact, including the claim in the original op-ed.
Well yeah, he is a fucking BBS laughing stock.
Yeah. I bet his enemies in high school called him Red.
