Which deck do you recommend? Or doesn’t it matter?
I recommend whatever deck gets your engine running and your creative juices flowing. Like I said, my favorite is the Book of Thoth, but it scares the hell out of people for some reason. It was designed by Alestar Crawley, I think is the problem. I’ve never been into Rider Waite myself, but it’s the best selling.

I got The Emperor:
I’m female (and I put that down in the quiz), so I guess gender doesn’t completely exclude anyone from a category, it just lowers your chances. I have to say, though, “Some have power through love. I have power through power” might become my new motto. 
Oh, and the runner-up was Death. So . . . I guess I’ll stick a skull on the end of my scepter.
Hmm, I might make for a confusing subject of a tarot reading. Though I know nothing about tarot readings.
The poll result gave me “Death”, but it was in a virtual tie with “The High Priestess”, with both at 69%. I suspect it chose “Death” because I strongly disagreed with the “Are you female?” and “Are you a mother figure?” questions.
Those two were followed by “The Devil” (50%), “The Tower”, “The Fool”, “Magician” and “Justice” (all 44%), “The Sun” and “Strength” at 38% each, “The Lovers” (25%) and finally, “Wheel of Fortune” and “The Emperor” at 13% each.
I got Death at 88% and The Lovers at 81%. I guess that isn’t too surprising…

I gotta put in a plug for Egypt Urnash’s Tarot of the Silicon Dawn.
…and in general other non-standard sets like the minchiate deck, but I’ve kind of known Egypt since when, so a specific plug there.
I think my only “standard” tarot deck is Palladini’s Aquarian Tarot, which is very pretty in a 1970’s way.
