I also love this commerical. The aburdity of it make me crack up.
It helps that I love Quizno’s sammiches though

Wtf is a pepper bar?
Oh baby! They’ve got a Quizno’s spongmonkey screen saver on their web site!
They look like dead hamsters. Kind of sickening, IMO, but the song is catchy. They definitely do not make me hungry for Quiznos.
Will somebody please tell World Eater and me what the fuck a pepper bar is? Never heard of it.
I don’t know about Quizzno’s nationwide, but the one near LRAFB in Jacksonville has a little self-serve bar near the fountain drink counter. It’s almost like a tiny salad bar, but it has jalapeños, sweet pepper rings, and mixed pickled peppers available for you to get and put on your sandwich.
Tah-Dah! The “Peppah Bahr”!
I love the spongmonkeys! I laugh my ass off every time I see that commercial, and my kids think it’s a hoot! Sadly, we also have “We Like Tha Moon” bookmarked on our favorites so the baby can see it and dance whenever he’s in the mood! We’re bad, bad people.
FB
I love those grotesque little fuckers. I went to Quiznos for the first time in years after seeing one of those commercials.
A pepper bar is cool, but every time I think of Quizno’s, I picture dead, squashed hamsters and lose my appetite.
My friend loves that commercial, but he’s always stoned when he watches TV, and I think that explains a lot.
As someone who loves absurdist humor (hey, I’m one of two people that I know of who liked Freddie Got Fingered – the other being New York Times Critic A.O.Scott), I must say that commercial sucks donkey testicles.
Only Potbelly’s and Jimmy John’s for me from now on (and the local deli, of course).
It’s all about making you remember the name. What the hell does a talking duck have to do with insurance? Not much but Aflac has 97% name recognition in the United States.
Me too. That commercial rocks
I run out to the living room when it comes on. Makes me want to visit the Quiznos a mile from my house I haven’t been to in a year.
I just had a flash of inspiration! Quiznos should use the Badger Badger Mushroom song for their next commercial! All the popularity of wierd things found on the internet, and none of the disgust with the spongmonkeys.
I’m sorry, but even here (where there are no Quiznos…mmm…tasty…) we’ve seen that commercial, and I have to say I haven’t laughed that hard since before I shipped. I for one WILL go to Quiznos when I get back State side just because of this.
I suggest the American Egg Council hire Weebl & Bob.
“When come back, bring omlette!”
Simply the best commercial ever.
I like the ad but I sure wouldn’t want to be working at a Quiznos.
Imagine how every customer must be singing We Like the Subs at them.
The thing I can’t figure about Quizno’s is how they get away with claiming they invented the toasted sub. They’re called Cosmos, dammit! Back in central PA, that’s about the only way you ever ate a sub! It’s on a par with Al Gore (allegedly) claiming he invented the Internet…
Also, how Quizno’s manages to sell so many subs at their high, as far as fast food goes, prices.
It makes me remember Quizno’s too. Just not in the way they intended. Every time I see that advert it makes me wonder if those singing rat things are the mystery meat in the sandwiches.
