What's The Deal With Quizno's???

Ok what is the deal with Quizno’s Subs??? Quiznos’ singing rodent’s…Have you’ll seen this commercial??? I swear I have to turn down the volume on the TV because it hurts my ears.I am still trying to figure out what those rodent’s have to do with selling subs??If anyone knows or has any idea please fill me in…Because we just got a Quizno’s where I live, and right now I have no plan on ever going there to eat. To me it was and is a BIG TURN off…

The creator calls them Spongmonkeys. For more information, check out this Slate article.

Then, go to the creator’s website. Some of the stuff is downright hilarious.

It makes me long for the “Raised by Wolves” campaign.

I am never going to eat at a Quizno’s again. It’s a truly bizarre commercial, and does nothing for my appetite.

It was made after this. An internet FUNNAY that got out of hand…

We love de subs!
'Cause they are good to us!

They are tasty! They are crunchy!
They are warm because they toast them!

They got a pepper bar
I love that commercial, and if I could remember the link to the site that has the flash video that inspired it, I’d link you to it. “We love the moon…”

Isn’t that disgusting? How Quiznos thinks those googly eyed screeching rat morphs will make people hungry, I dunno. Quiznos seem to be on a promo frenzy as there was a giant Quiznos soda walking around our downtown the other week, waving to everyone, handing out coupons.

The main idea behind most advertising is to make the consumer remember the product. They win at that, anyway. Maybe it appeals to children.

It didn’t do a thing for my kids.

Here’s the complete rundown on this ad, including the bozo responsible for it.

Unfortunately, it’s an incredibly effective commercial. I’ve found myself humming that song in the shower. So long as you can’t get the song out of your head, you’ll be more likely to want to eat at a Quizno’s.

At least I think that’s how it works…

I LOVE those commercials! In fact, I’ve eatened at Quizno’s twice since the started the new ad campaign!
[sub]THEY GOT A PEPPAH BAR!!![/sub]

Cracks me right up. My wife and I both love the commercials. In fact, I’ll probably go to Quiznos for the first time just because of 'em.

I want to eat there after watching the commercial.
The commercial only works on smart, attractive people.

My 2 daughters (3.5 & 1.5) demand I play the commercials on the computer (they’re on the quiznos website) whenever I turn it on. The older one claims to be revolted by the creatures, yet she’ll hit Play over and over and over…

“Beware of paper cuts!”

P.S. I plan to bring them to the local Quizno’s this weekend. Guess it worked on me.

All this quoting of the pepper bar commercial, and it’s not even the funniest one!

“We love the subs. . .
Subs are a doll-ar off
When you bring in a coupon
For things to eat or oil changes
Or pony rides or for hairplugs.
Any coupon works.
Beware of papercuts!!!
Eat Quizno’s subs.”

The first time I saw that “creepy rodent” commercial I thought to myself what is that crap". Now every time I see the comercial on TV I chuckle a bit because the lyrics are pretty funny (at least I think so)

I think you are all forgetting Quizno’s other devious ad campaigns. Such as the man with no pants. Or the chef who blew up his house. Surely these past ads can make up for these annoying “hell lymurs”.
Can’t they?

I kindda like it. At first I thought what the hell are those things doing here, but the song is funny. It is so stupid it works. I guess I like stupid.

Every time I see that “spongmonkey” commercial I want to vomit.

But then, I decided never to eat at Quizno’s when they aired the ad with the dead parakeet.

Makes me wonder if the guy(s) responsible for this company’s commercials aren’t undercover PeTA agents

I like most of the stuff at Rathergood.com, but the Spongemonkeys don’t do anything to make me want to go to Quiznos. (In fact, I don’t really like them much at all.)

Now, if he could do one with the Viking Kittens…
