I was sailing nicely towards a 6, until…yup, Flake-Flame. I think you are right…should just get a coin out and let it decide for me…an inanimate object has to have better odds than I do.

Summary
What a train wreck that was! I went with Prawn to sleuth the LO_ER trap and that paid off. But I have no idea why I didn’t think to do another sleuth word for the PA_ER trap, and I didn’t even think of Paper, so of course that was my last guess out of the 4 words it could be. I then did Gauge-Gaffe, and then Mummy-Muggy-Muddy. I wasn’t paying attention to that one…the G was already invalid, but it didn’t matter, still would have failed with having two more words to solve.
Ok, I really need to try the coin toss! Interesting results you got with that.

Felt ok about this one. The #4 word (Cacao) could have been 6 words, and I was glad that I chose well for that one, which told me what it was. And I had about 4 words for the terminal Y trap word, and Daddy would tell me what it was, though I almost took a chance on Jazzy, but decided to play it safe.

Summary
I got lucky with Build…for once I picked the correct word out of 3 choices! But then I was faced with another three-choice word (Snout, Spout, Stout), so to avoid a 9 or 10, or even a fail if the last word was a doozy, I went with a sleuth word (Stony) to tell me what it was. And thankfully Cabal was all the last word could be. I actually felt good about getting an 8…are 8’s now the new 7?

Dumpy to the rescue!
I’ve been trying to get a streak of 100 wins on Quordle. My longest is 82, and I’ve had multiple streaks in the 50s. But all those streaks ended when I got a puzzle wrong.
I had a good streak going, in the mid-40s. I play every night, just past midnight; played tonight’s puzzle and my streak as reset to 2. I don’t know why it reset, though; I haven’t missed any, or gotten any wrong for more than a month.
Anybody else see this?
I activated “coin toss mode” for this one, and it paid off!

My one miss was Scary-Scarf. For my last word to solve, I was left with two choices, and I almost went with Tilde, but I then thought this is a coin flip opportunity, and Title won!
That is strange. I don’t check my stats in this game very often, but I just looked at it to see, and for both Daily and Sequence my streak is intact. Did you switch devices? It’ll start over if so. Same with using different browsers too.

Summary
My missed word was Dwarf, used as a sleuth word to tell me what each of the remaining three words were (skill or swill, demur or femur, betta or tweak). I toyed with the idea to activate “coin toss mode”, but I was pretty jazzed to find a good sleuth word that’d check all three words.
Same computer, same browser, same way I’ve been playing for months.
Never mind; I just tried it again and the stats are back as they should be. 46 wins in a row. I got to play today’s puzzle again.
Oh good! Maybe it was just a temporary glitch then.

Nice! I tossed a few today too. APING vs. AGING - correct and STOOP vs STOMP - wrong. My guesses were APING and STOOP. But had I done STOMP first I would have known it wasn’t APING, I didn’t think of that, doh.

I flipped the coin on gusty vs busty - correct and smart vs start - incorrect. I was really surprised when AWASH was wrong, never heard of SWASH before, only swashbuckler
