I’ve seen a few do that on the board too - sometimes I’ve never even heard of the word, though they may just be fishing for letters, but not sure.
I’m taking a bit of a break from Wordle, if you haven’t noticed. I’m finding more enjoyment with Quordle and Sequence. I did play the other day at random though, and go figure, I got a 2, which made me question taking a break.
Yeah, upset is right! Sheesh…I used up almost every single letter trying to nail those words. My good fortune with Sequence lately was bound to expire at some point - lol.
Which makes sense for the 2nd guess and maybe even the 3rd if it’s still not coming together, but they do it on the 4th and even the 5th guesses
I did notice that you’ve been MIA from wordle, congrats on the 2!
I’ve never really paid attention and if you clear your browser history, which I do on a regular basis, it wipes that out.
I’m pretty sure I’ve failed at least once or twice since this thread was started less than a year ago.

I didn’t have enough letters to even make a decent guess and so used lymph as a general purpose sleuth. That helped a lot!
I had Thump and Thunk, and I went with THUMP because it would also check Cupid, Cubic, and Cumin (and if those didn’t hit, it’d be Civic). So CIVIC it is. Then I had to go with a sleuth word (DINGY) for the next two words. GODLY wasn’t on my list…I was thinking it could be Dolly, Folly, Golly. And for the other one I had PLANK and Plaza. So Dingy came to the rescue for both #1 and #3 words rather nicely.
I made a stupid mistake with Pixel…Impel showed the L wasn’t last. Guessed wrong on Novel-Vowel-Bowel, but Novel told me it wasn’t Vowel, so that was good. I got lucky with Goody over Doozy, and with just two guesses to spare, I was glad the last word was a shoo-in.

One thing I really like about quordle, because it reuses words along with any new words, it always keeps our game on a level playing field.
Yeah, anything goes! I have never minded that it reuses words, but with Wordle, I like that it doesn’t reuse words…I like being able to eliminate some of the choices that have been used since you are only solving one word.
Yeah, I get that, but effectively at this point (game #906) you have some people choosing from 2,315 likely answers, while others are picking from 1,409 possibilities, and that gap will only get bigger as time goes on.
