Some try to remember. I can often remember the more unusual ones, but it’s rather difficult with very common words. Others consult a previously used word list.

I was too hasty to put up Sport…I just went for it without looking for other words. I already knew that Scrap had to be the #1 word and I should have done that one first.

I sometimes will remember some words, but when I first started playing (March 2022), I put the previous answers I found online into an Excel spreadsheet, and I update it daily, so I have that to refer to. I don’t always remember to check it though, and that has hurt me a few times, but it really helps narrow things down sometimes.

For the last one to solve (#4), there were too many words/letters to get an adequate sleuth up, so I just went for one of them (Ruler) - got lucky with that choice, and lucky again between Repel and Revel.

Just started getting into Quordle… Does everyone else also use a standard set of starter words? I typically start with TEARS, DOING, and then CHUMP. If it’s still looking bare I’ll try FLYBY.
We all do it differently. I usually start with RAISE, then wait to see what pops up and where before selecting my second word.
I usually go with SLATE + CHOIR, and if not much to go on, I toss up DUMPY. Now and again I change my start words, but old habits die hard.

Melee was just the first thing that jumped out at me when I saw the ELE probably because we just had that not too long ago. Quordle does like to repeat. Welcome back to wordle 
Ugh, I see you fell into an ugly trap because you got that L in the first position Most of the time getting a green right off the bat is great, but occasionally it’s like the kiss of death. 
Fell into an ugly trap I did. 
I usually take the time and effort to write down all of my choices and really think things through, but sometimes I just don’t have it in me, and today was one of those days - lol.
And then I realized I didn’t have the O or I since I didn’t play Choir, but with the P hitting from Plaza, I saw Jumpy and just went for it. Mixup was a dumb move…it usually has a hyphen, but up it went without realizing that. And there you have it, my colossal fail.

Two trap words…ugh. PUNKY to the rescue for one of them (Creed, Creek, Creep, and also Cured too), and would help solve Speak vs. Sedan (Creep did that too, but that was before I knew that), and as a bonus, it helped solve Rerun (had no idea what that one was prior). But then I had Defer, Fever, Fewer, and Vexer…thankfully Fever would tell me which one it was!
