R.I.P. David Dees, the Truthers' Hieronymus Bosch

A great talent has passed on (5/31, though with little fanfare, which is no coincidence).

David Dees, former Sesame Street illustrator turned artist laureate to the woke non-sheeple (you’ve probably seen his work many times online without realizing who created it) is no longer with us. Even the works of Jack Chick, gifted as he was, did not have the stunning detail, scope and shiny colors of Mr. Dees’ oeuvre.

Mr. Dees turned his talents to exposing and lampooning the many sinister forces imperiling us and undoubtedly paid the ultimate price as a result (there were hints of a cancer diagnosis, but we know how easily that can be staged when one’s enemies include Hillary Clinton, the Mossad (who moved his bicycle and gave him an unrelenting itch on the side of his nose for several years as a warning), Big Pharma, Monsanto and whoever mysteriously stacked his shoes.

He will be missed. :frowning:

*be cheered that Jeff Rense has announced that he will be curating Dees’ artwork for future edification.

Actually, I’ve never seen his stuff before in my life.

Obviously, you are unacquainted with some of the darker corners of the Internet, which probably speaks well for your mental health.

“David Dees, a Louisville, Kentucky-based graphic artist, has found a large audience for his anti-Semitic and conspiratorial art. This artwork has been circulated on extremist email groups, published on the Websites of 9/11 conspiracy theorists and turned into videos posted on YouTube and other Websites. A biography of Dees posted to his Website claims that his images are “an attempt to wake others up about the onslaught of the elite’s power hungry world government plan of domination.”…
Rense, a Website that posts anti-Semitic material, maintains an extensive and regularly updated archive of Dees’ images and often posts a Dees image on its front page.”

I’m not claiming any sort of superiority (or even mental health, for that matter). I’m just responding to your “you’ve probably seen his work many times online without realizing who created it”. I’ve flitted about all over the net and seen a lot of things, but the work of this Dees isn’t one of them. i suspect that most folks on this Board have the same experience.

I have never seen anything by this person. Considering I was offended by a couple, I would probably avoid this guys work.

Dees was a professional artist? Not according to the examples posted in the OP.

Never heard of him or his “art”.

But we’re all glad he’s dead, right?
