R.I.P Richard Farnsworth

This is not exactly Mundane and Pointless, but…

Former stuntman and two-time Academy award nominee Richard Farnsworth, age 80, died in his home yesterday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had been suffering from cancer for several years and recently was told that it was terminal. He was nominated just last year for his role in the movie “The Straight Story”, but lost the award to Kevin Spacey.

Wow, that really sucks. His performance in “Straight Story” was beautiful. At least he was lucky enough to leave some good work behind…

And be sure also to find an older movie of his entitled “The Grey Fox.” An absolutley beautiful movie from start to finish.

Oh my gosh!
I remember him playing Matthew Cuthbert in Anne of Green Gables…
:frowning:

why does that name ring a bell? Can someone post a link to the actor.
