One of the all time great pro wrestling managers, Sir Oliver Humperdink has passed away.
I was fortunate enough to have some online contact with him a few years ago. Very nice guy.

Was anyone else thinking the guy who played Humperdink in The Princess Bride died? I didn’t even know that was a real last name.
It was not his real name. Think his real name was John Sutton. Many in the pro wrestling industry use “stage names”, and Hump was one of them.

I’ll never forget how he stole Bam Bam Bigelow’s contract away from those sinister managers of the WWF, Mr. Fuji, Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Slick, and Johnny V.
Or when he was managing in Florida, and ‘burned’ Mr. Florida’s eye with a lit cigar. And he was part of Kevin Sullivan’s Army of Darkness in Florida as well.
