I agree that there was no reason to bring up the black ladies in congress but remember that this was a pit thread. I was responding to my political allies being insulted with comment directed toward my political enemies and their allies.

Not really. However, even if that were the case, consider that your specific use of a group identified exclusively by you based on their sex and race says far more about your general mentality than it does about anything else.

It is a strong indicator that you think in terms of “us and them” in far more of your life than one Pit thread and that “them” in your world is based on race and sex.

(As to the rest of your comments, here, I would agree that you should quit digging, except that you are providing a lot of entertainment.)

Now, why did I say what I did. First of all, I think it is probably true. In large part, because most of the black ladies in congress wouldn’t be there if they were white. I’ve said the same thing (and believe it) about Obama relative to a general electorate. Clearly the theory applies more so to black congressional districts.

I’ll bet there are a lot of congresscritters who wouldn’t be there if they weren’t evangelical Christians.
