Rag Doll Cannon

Has anyone else tried this?

http://www.play4all.net/games/321/play.html

Simplistic doodle like graphics, nice music and interestingly realistic physics combine to make a fun little time waster… so far my best score is 102…

(Scoring is “Golf” style, in which you try to accomplish all levels with lowest score)

Enjoy

This is great! Scored a 90 after about an hour of play. Thanks for the link!

HA!.. Just replayed it… Got 77

I believe there is a sequel as well:

Ragdoll Cannon 2

I tried it yesterday, but got stuck at level 12 :frowning:

Doing better than I am-got stuck on Level 3, with that big rock, either I was too tired to figure out an alternate strategy, or something.

Okay, finally finished with shameful 150 points. Level 12 is definitely the hardest. Can anyone get the second game to load? It gets stuck at 29% for me every time.

Finished the first one (finally) with a 33. Could have been a 31, but on two levels I accidentally fired one ragdoll too many. Now to try the second one (if it’ll load up).

crap… cannot finish lvl 12 :frowning:

Levels 1-13 solutions!

Here is how I’m solving each board… oddly, the levels don’t seem to go in numerical order as you go on.

Level 1: “WELCOME” One doll.

Simple-- arc a single ragdoll in.

Level 2: “AND WELCOME” One doll.

Arc in a single ragdoll again. You may find it easiest to ricochet your ragdoll off the ceiling and/or inside walls leading to the goal.

Level 3: “Hi! I’m Johnny-K!” One doll.

Fire a ragdoll at the underside of the board holding the “Johnny K” rock. Aiming just to the right of the rock, it’s possible to use a single ragdoll to bump the board up and slip through, falling to the goal.

Level 4: “Cool Game?” One doll.

By aiming just below the “Sound” option button, you can fire a ragdoll up against one of the platforms, which it will slide against, falling into the goal.

Level 5: “-)” One doll.

It’s possible to hit the rock at the top of the tower with the ragdoll and have the ragdoll drop into the tower and hit the goal- I did this by aiming near the name of the level. More easily, use one ragdoll to knock the rock off the tower, then arc another doll into the tower (or ricochet it off of the ceiling)."

Level 6: “Tower” Two dolls.

Launch one ragdoll at full force into the single brick holding up the left side of the platform. Launch another ragdoll into the same spot to collapse the tower, and wait for a few seconds-- with enough brick shifting, a ragdoll will probably touch the goal. It may be possible to do this with one.

Level 7: “Catch Me If You Can” One doll.

Aim for the bottom right as quickly as possible and fire to catch the falling goal.

Level 8: “10 t” Two dolls.

Use one doll to roll the 10 t. ball to the right. Wait until it falls and knocks the platform and ball out of the way of the goal, then arc another doll in.

Level 9: “Ceiling” One doll.

Arc one doll into the top of the tower. Hard shots off the top of the level seem to disappear, so you may need to use a little less power than usual.

Level 10: “Floor” Two dolls.

Use one doll forcefully to bump the smiley-face hard enough to dump the goal over the right side (try aiming just to the left of the sound button). Aim quickly to catch the falling goal in mid-air with a second doll.

Level 13, think it’s supposed to say 11: “Floor 2” One doll.

Aim high, near the top of the screen, and just slightly right of vertical

Level 12: “How?” Two dolls.

Aim a couple of boxes above the “l” in “like” to send a ragdoll skidding across the top of the box protecting the goal, where it then falls onto the lever. Use another doll to send the ball rolling onto the lever, launching the first doll into the goal.

Level 13: “Floor 3” One doll.

There’s a goal hidden just off the top of the paper. Aim a doll to hit the side of it, resting atop the boxes with + signs in them.

More solutions!

Level 14: “Fall” One doll.

Fire forcefully and a little bit up, a split second after the level begins-- you’ll probably end up catching the goal by accident as the bricks knock into each other.

Level 15: “Fortress” One doll.

Aim high and send a doll into the top left of the “fortress” holding the goal in the upper right corner; with enough momentum, it’ll slide into the goal. I aimed three squares to the left and one up from the “L” in the word “Level.”

Level 16: “!” One doll.

Arc a doll forcefully at the ball, and with enough momentum it will follow the ball through the gap and tumble into the goal. Alternately, for a two doll solution, hit the ball hard with one doll, and the ball should knock the goal onto the bottom floor. Wait for the goal to land, then send a doll horizontally into the goal.

Level 17: “Watcher” One doll.

Aim a few squares above the opening of the small tower, and fire your doll in an attempt to intercept the falling weight-- the weight should knock your doll right in.

Level 18: “One Way” One doll.

Aim a couple of squares below the word “Sound.” Your doll should glide right through.

Level 19: “Fast, Forrest, Fast” One doll.

Aim a few (5?) squares below the words “Fast, Forrest” and arc your doll onto the goal before the stacks of blocks tumble down.

Level 20: “Last… Almost…” Two dolls.

One doll to knock the weight out of the wall, another quickly sent through the gap to catch the goal before the weight knocks it off screen. Watch out for the first doll when firing the second. I fire the first up and to the right of the weight to give it a good shove, but fire the second a little lower and to the left of the gap so that the doll is arcing down once it goes through the gap.

Level 21 (extra): “Welcome to Play4all.net” One doll.

Fire your doll forcefully through the top left brick holding up the left side of the left platform-- your doll should bash through, collapsing the entire device, but slide into the goal before everything falls away.

Level 22 (extra): “Cool site?” One doll.

Aim about 5 squares up from the middle of the upper platform. Your doll should shoot through the gap between the upper platform and the bricks, and slide into the goal.

Level 23 (extra) “Box2d- rulezzzz!” Two dolls.

Aim about 4 squares left, 3 down, from the lone single block. Your doll should bump the rightmost brick under the goal, knocking the goal onto the floor to the right of the cannon. Fire a second doll into it. (Might be possible to ricochet a doll off the single block into the goal?)

Level 24 (extra) “Blind Trust” One doll.

Count 8 lines on the paper from the bottom platform holing the goal stack, and fire right around that line in the line of half-squares at the top of the paper. There’'s some kind of hole in the ceiling allowing you to ricochet off of a hidden wall, enough to send your doll into the goal.

Level 25 (extra) (forgot to catch the name of this, as it jumps immediately to a name entry screen when you solve it) Two dolls.

Fire one doll high by aiming above the a and y in “play4…” above the cannon-- the doll should land on the left side of the brick covering the gap about 1/3 over from your cannon, shoving the brick aside and landing inside the structure of platforms. Arc another doll at the side of the weight at the top of the structure. The ball will be slow but if it begins rolling at all, it will pick up speed from its falls and shove the goal box onto the first doll.

In all 32 points over 25 screens-- I think I was off in claiming I could have achieved 33 so easily before.

even with all that help (thanks!!) the best I could do was 50.

I crashed somewhere in the 50s on the second one. If anybody is going through them would you mind posting the level code from around 54 or so?

Thanks.

Can anyone identify the music?

The high score screen shows sever scores of 25. Apparently it is possible to win on one shot each.

ok - I’ve wasted enough of my day on this but I finally scored 32!

I was able to work myself down to 27, needing two dolls only on levels 10 and 20, one doll on the rest. (Most of the levels that involve bumping a weight out of the way can be solved with one doll by properly skimming the weight with the doll so that the doll continues on and arcs into a position to be helped by the weight.) I couldn’t figure out how people were regularly scoring 26s on the game, so looked for a walk-through, and apparently level 10 can be solved with one doll primarily through a game bug/feature. If you catch your ragdoll on a wall edge properly, you can impale the doll… on level 10, your doll ends up stretching like a rubberband across the screen, snapping back to whatever limb gets caught on a wall by the smiley-face rock.

There are only a handful of 25 scores in the history of the game being online (with only one remaining on the “all time” board), and I ran across mentions online that level 20 requires two dolls-- anyone with a one doll score is suspected of hacking the game. So, I’m pretty satisfied with my ultimate score of 26.

Flash games that don’t let you turn off the sound make Baby Jesus cry. :frowning:

There’s a sound button on the top right of the screen.
