Raisen Bran - Serving of Fruit?

Does a bowl of raisen bran contain a serving of fruit? Do different brands have different amounts of fruit?

IIRC, Weight Watchers defines a serving of raisins as about 2 tablespoons. So it’s quite possible a bowlful of raison bran might have a “serving” though I’m sure it varies by brand name, or by bowlful from a single box, or even from one box to another.

Try this experiment: pour a bowlful.

Jiggle it a bit to encourage the lighter flakes to “rise” to the top (i.e., to encourage the heavier raisins to sink). Brush the flakes away. Repeat until you have nothing but raisins in the bowl.

If the result is more than 2 tablespoons, you’ve got your fruit service. Of course, if the raisins are coated with sugar or anything, you might have other stuff too…
