Ram Rod

Feeling blue today. One of my best friends was instrumental in orchestrating the demise of Bin Laden. That’s really all I can say about him, apart from he chose to take a road that I chose to turn away from. And while where I am now does not suck, I haven’t been who I could be for a very long time.

I have another friend (yeah I got lots of friends: 3) who quotes German philosophy to me to cheer me up–and it works for a variety of complicated reasons. He reminded me that today is a Blue Day, and that helped some. Blue Day is a term we got from a German guy named Rohm. Rohm drove a retired police car–the Rohm Rod.

Interesting, however, that German philosophy typically boils down to schlechtes Wetter and not so much Blue Days like the Greeks get.

…heh…ram rod sounds so nasty.

Ramrod was a key (non-musical) member of the Grateful Dead. Iconic.

…and a fine Springsteen song.

…and an Aurora model, which was more or less a replica of the Beach Boys’ Little Deuce Coupe.

How big was this retired police vehicle?

Could it be a rhombus?

Well, it if raised his spirits he could we say he’s been Rhom-buoyed?
