A most satisfactory display.
[You don’t need to be relying on your faulty memory banks, carbon-based units…]
You still remember, Admiral. I, of cannot help but be touched. Of course, I remember you.
Are you of The Body? :dubious:
I see myself standing with Kirk’s head in one hand… and a tribble in the other.
MCCOY:   You’re not of the Body!
No
Our guest seems quite satisfied to remain where he is.
“Beautiful”? What is … “beautiful”?
Don’t just stand there jawing, Spock. You and Doctor Wallace get cracking.
You know me. Am I getting old? :dubious:
What are you offering me, Jan? Love… or a going away present?
I’ve been a “Captain’s Woman,” and I like it. I’ll be one again if I have to go through every officer in the Fleet!
“You broke your little ships.”
Okay, here’s another digression:
The studio received a significant number of letters form boys saying things like: Kirk needs a Captain’s Woman.
These were taken to be by boys under pubescent age. The standard response was something like:
*I’m not sure you know what a “Captain’s Woman” is, and you really should ask your mother about it.
*![]()
From the oldest episode to be directly broadcast, the second pilot:
“… Did another Earth ship once probe out of the galaxy as we intend to do?”
Yes … and they wanted her to be played by Stephanie “Girl from UNCLE” Powers. The mind boggles…! :o
You tell McCoy she had better be the best assistant I’ve ever had!*
*I just now, after more than 40 years, caught the double entendre there! :smack:
Dunno about that, but I would have loved to have “probed” Dr Helen Noel myself! ![]()
Stephanie Powers, hmm… That suggestion sound vaguely familiar. You must have read the same books I did.
Either The Making of Star Trek or The World of Star Trek. Because I read it, too, somewhere.
