Ladies?
leland is a bad man.
He killed Laura Palmer, for God’s sake.
I’m no lady, but:
Adrian, way more than the other two.
Adrian. I don’t do mustaches or stupid.
It would be wonderful to know what the hell this thread is actually about, for those of us who aren’t all-knowing gods of wisdom.
I’m no lady but it pretty much has to be Monk, doesn’t it?
I don’t think you have to be an all-knowing God, merely a fan of the TV show “Monk.”
Randy. I’ve always thought he was cute.
I’m just wondering, when the hell is Natalie going to start calling him Adrian?
Speaking of which, I think Natalie is hot.
Disher is more than stupid, and I always have a mental image of Stottlemeyer dressed up in woman’s skin with his pubes showing - that’s so not hot.
So Adrian it is. Besides, I’m used to OCD guys. Mr. brown and one of my bosses are both definitely in this territory.
Dr. Kroger. Stable, caring, well-to-do, not as often involved in murders.
StG
That’s one of my main gripes with the show. Disher isn’t stupid, he’s a victim of the writers. Disher has shown himself to be a good detective in his own right, particularly in Mr. Monk and the Airplane when Stottlemeyer was out of town and Randy was in charge of the department. But the writers seem hell-bent in making him an eccentric whack-job, sort of like the goofball teenager who never grew up. Yeah, putting him in a rock band adds an interesting touch to the character. Giving him a living statue fixation, like in “Mr. Monk Goes to the Bank” does not.
I have to agree that Randy Disher isn’t stupid. He’s shown himself to be a competent detective, and on one occasion, he even solved a crime at the same time that Monk did. (Which episode was that?)
His problem isn’t stupidity. Rather, it’s that he tends to be naive and gullible, and he has a tendency to hatch cockamamie theories. He also has an element of childlike innocence that hampers him in his job. (Captain America pajamas, anyone?) Like many otherwise intelligent people, he has his moments of unclear thinking – too many moments, I will admit.
Was that the fortune cookie thing? I remember they were both recounting the crimes at the same time, weren’t they? (Granted, he did lead people to finding Monk up in the woods, but still…)
I never liked how they tried to make Disher overly stupid just for comic relief. He’s not as stupid as they portrayed him.
Leland all the way.
Adrian, definitely – with the occasional dirty phone call from Leland. Love that voice.
No, he’s ***exactly ***as stupid as they portrayed him, by definition. Just like every other fictional character.
But I’d still rather have Monk.
Well…okay, yes. That was a stupid thing to say. I suppose I disagree with they way they are doing it.
