I was confused by the news stories on this issue. They all said Randy Quaid was arrested “trying” to cross the border. But he’s in the custody of the Vermont police. They didn’t go into Quebec to get him so it would seem he did actually cross the border but was arrested at the checkpoint on the US side. I don’t get where the trying comes from. He was fully in the US when he was arrested.
He probably couldn’t stand any more Canadian pedantry.
Clearly, it’s time to get those Mexicans working on that wall.

Randy & Evi Quaid just posted a bizarre rant on Youtube in which they slammed, well, just about everybody. Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, the U.S. State department (won’t give back their passports), J.P. Morgan,the Santa Barbara D.A’s office and some bail bondsman named Brian Gooch. To hear them tell it, said Gooch filed bogus bail bonds in their name, without their knowledge or consent and is now suing them for a million+ dollars because they jumped bail. (Is that even possible?)
Oh, and she also said that when Donald Trump is elected (“and he will be elected”), that Trump is gonna “blow all the shit out of the pipes that are completely clogged from eight years of this incompetent administration”. Or something like that. Whew!:eek:
On the face of it, I’d say the woman is batshit. Randy just seemed kind of out of it, although he was lucid enough in the parts of the video he narrated…had to stop in the middle though, thought he saw cops headed their way and started to panic. He does not look well; notice the strange mottled pigmentation on his arms…steroids? eczema? The woman looks far more physically fit than he does. She’ll probably be around annoying people for years.

At least he’s with it enough to know how she’s coming across and to be concerned about it. It looks like their relationship is one where she calls most of the shots and he eventually just goes along to placate her. But yeah, she’s most definitely out of it and has no idea how wrongheaded she is or how she comes across.
I’ve been curious as to how they’ve afforded to live during their five or six years in Canada but apparently they can afford Veuve Cliquot champagne. I haven’t bought any in quite a while and can’t tell if the bottle is a split or not, but I believe a full-size 750 ml bottle of the stuff goes for somewhere around $60 these days in the U.S. I have no idea though how our prices compare with those in Canada, but still you’d think that if they were on the verge of pennilessness they wouldn’t be indulging in wine like that just to toast themselves filming a rant in a park.
ETA: A stint in the clink might be just what the poor guy needs. After some time away from her he might come to his senses and stay out of that relationship.

A nice break for Randy and his wife. But the case in California is still a problem for him.

I think we should also remember that the Canadian government has apologized for Bryan Adams on several occasions.
