Oh, my. Between frogstoppers and Zsofia trapped in that French oubliette of a bathroom, I’d almost think the design sadism might have been justified – just for the sake of my own amusement.
But that would be wrong. hee.
A lot of software is sadistically designed. One example design is Windows Explorer. When I have to copy a bunch of files to a backup location on the server, I have the choice of overwriting all the existing files, or repeatedly clicking NO to the overwrite confirmation box.
What makes it sooo sadistic is that you can’t just blindly click away, because the NO button is right over the CANCEL button of the Status box, so clicking just one too many times cancels the copy. Was the guy who was in charge of the “No To All” button sick that day? (Note, I have recently learned the secret of holding the shift while clicking No).
