Rant: It's hard to be on a diet and have to smell fast food every day

Nope, Zebra, there is not one anywhere in Manhattan from what I can tell. I went to Old Devil Moon and I was given some attempt at what they thought chicken fried steak was supposed to be but it was obvious none of them had ever been to the south. I guess I will just have to wait until I go home to visit to get honest to goodness chicken fried steak.

I know it’s just a number you pulled out of the air, but the calories in the first meal being 500 make me want to laugh and laugh and laugh.

I can’t eat fried food anymore, and I can’t handle McDonald’s and Burger King and all of those sorts of things. They give me stomach cramps and unfortunate bowel issues. Subway has become my default fast-food.

Well, of course. Like I said, I was just trying to give an example.

Basically, what I mean is, you could probably lose weight by consuming nothing but diet soda and Doritos, but would you FEEL better? I think not.

Also, you really can have MickeyDs or Quiznos every once in a while, as long as you exercise and only do it on occassion. (I’ve also found that Subway meals can be quite good-like roast chicken breast sandwiches.)

Yoplait’s Whips are good-especially chocolate mint. I also LOVE Breyers Fruit Bars-they’re really, really yummy.
Stick to portion control, and having a treat every now and then.

(I was royally tempted yesterday when the vending machine had Zingers. I love those things. Screw Twinkies)

You know what? If I was offered a choice between (1) being rich (like, $10 million) or (2) being able to eat whatever I wanted for the rest of my life and never gain a pound, I would definitely choose #2.

Oh, me too, sister!

…I’d like to say that I’d be all “well, I’ll be rich, and give money to charity and help my family, and people will just love me for myself!”

But yeah, number 2.
