That you are an idiot and this story doesn’t substantiate the point you were trying to make. It actually supports the point everyone else has been trying to make, that containment at the facility despite suffering massive damage and inept management averted massive casualties.

Will there be more, less or about the same as the number of mutations that happened due to the 2 atomic bombs we dropped on Japan previously? Could you provide some cites as to what we can all expect? It seems really dire and all, and perhaps we should start agitating for the evacuation of the entire Japanese homeland, and perhaps California as well. But we really need to see some cites here on the severity of the dire emergency. ‘lots of mutations in the future’ is a bit vague. I’m sure you have plenty of cites though…perhaps on the bumblebee website you have used in the past? Anything solid like that would due though.

I think he really doesn’t get the apparently too-subtle distinction between “the Fukushima event was very dangerous, with serious long-term consequences for public health and the environment in the vicinity of the plant, but the tsunami was far worse” and “the Fukushima event was no big deal.”
Nor does he get the distinction between, “the Fukushima event has taught us that future nuclear plants need to include further safeguards to prevent similar disasters” and “yes! let’s build lots and lots of nuke plants and pretend Fukushima never happened!”
Nor even “fission as an energy source has its significant drawbacks, but with modern engineering and designs, nuclear power can be made safer, especially given what we’ve learned from the Fukushima event” versus “nuclear is the bestest energy source ever and is completely, 100% safe.”
I’d suggest people should stop posting in this thread, but I know FXMastermind will just keep bumping it with his latest, hysterical report. Best option would be for a mod to close it.
Then there would be zero discussion here of the ongoing disaster. You would love that.
