Don’t put words in my mouth, thanks. I never once said it was a good excuse for rape. I never once said women enjoy being raped, nor that a woman should make the best of it if it is happening to them.
The OP specifically asked a question about women being raped being dry, and I responded to that question. I was not making any judgment calls, I was not saying women dig being raped.
Please, get a grip, people. Rape is horrible. If anyone raped a woman I knew, I would want to cut their balls off and make them eat them, right before I kill them. But in response to the question that was asked, my response was not out of line, and I did not say any of the things that I seem to be accused of saying.

Purplebear–First of all, have another big bear hug from me! {{{{{{{PB}}}}}}} I greatly admire your courage. I can only imagine all the anguish behind your post, and that you were so open about such a sensitive subject speaks of your character and, well, beauty.
An aside: I did a poll in college for a social research class. One of the questions was “What punishment do you believe rapists should receive?” The overwhelming majority said castration, but a few were a little more creative: one said that at the first offense, remove one testicle. It marks him, is a solid warning to him, and is a helluvan aversion. Second offense, remove the other one. But, my favorite response was just three words: “rusty cheese graters.”
Purplebear, I’m not sure what you mean by saying I need to understand the enormity of rape. Please understand I do–my sister was raped, at age 13, under very similar circumstances as you. (It’s partly why I have never been drunk, nor had any desire to be.) My question was simply a bit of wondering, timidly asked because I feared it would bring up memories many women (and men) who read this board would prefer to forget.
