rat bastards at BestBuy.com

i’m not one to complain, but listen. . .

so, i’m looking for the special edition DVD of Nightmare Before Christmas. and i’m poor, so i want to get a good price. eBay has some for an ok price. Amazon has them on sale for 22.50 plus shiping. pretty good. then i find it at Best Buy.com for 19.99. “wow,” i thought. “what a deal.” shipping is .99, still a great deal. i begin to order it. click. next page. i notice a 2.00 “ordering fee.” WTF? i wonder, but still not bad. click. next page. then they charge me 1.30 tax and now i’m pissed.

sure the overall price is still good, but whats with all the hidden fees? dammit. i cant support that kind of crap.

That’s why it’s cheaper. Because you have to pay for shipping and stuff like that.

From the FAQ available from Policies from the home page of Best Buy (the stuff that people who want to understand the order process read before they begin the order):
What are the shipping options and costs for online orders?

The vBB didn’t leave it quite clear. The first column (2.00 for Music and Movies) gives the (minimum) charge per order while the second column (.99 for Music and Movies) gives the charge per item.

Buy 1, pay $2.00.
Buy 2, pay $2.00.
Buy 3, pay $2.97.
Buy 4, pay $3.96.
etc.
