Resident Evil 4 (wii)
GUN (360)
F.E.A.R. (360)

So far the only one I have tried is GUN, and it’s totally blowing all all my expectations away. It’s a real bargain for just 15 bucks.

Also, the only 360 games I have played other than GUN are Halo3, Gears of War, Oblivion, and Bioshock. I can’t waste any money on new games anymore, so does anyone have suggestions for great 360 games that are old enough to be in the 25-30 dollar range used?

I got Dead Rising for fairly cheap, and it’s an absolute zombie-killing blast. It’s Day of the Dead with a government conspiracy thrown in, you can completely ignore the plot, and you can throw pies at zombies and take their pictures as they stumble around. I love it.

Though, it’s almost impossible to read the text on a SD TV, so keep that in mind if you sit far from the screen.

Somewhat related…

Hollywood Video has a store added onto the rental area here near our town. I think it is called Game Crazy or something to that effect. They have a huge selection of used games. I bought 4 for my PS2 yesterday. Also, for $1 a game, you get a great warranty. The guy actually said if my son grabs them and busts the disc in half, they will replace it.

I think we paid $30 for all 4 games, but I know there were a good bit of 360 games in the 3 for 10 bin.

I would suggest Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW) 1 & 2. Both can be picked up as bargains.

If you’re into sports games, you might also want to try out Fight Night 3.

Earth Defense Force 2017 for Xbox 360, baby. It’s got lots of flaws (2D power pickups, choppiness when the screen gets full, one hit will destroy an entire building), but it’s just so damn much FUN. It’s a 3rd person shooter with you taking the role of a footsoldier in the Earth Defense Force. Alien spaceships have appeared, and they’re dropping off killer beasts. So, you have 53 levels of shooting unlimited ammunition (from about 170 different weapons you acquire) at wave after wave of giant ants, giant spiders, giant robots, flying saucers, Godzilla-like giant lizard things, a walking fortress, and finally the mothership itself.

What’s so awesome about it is the sense of scale. You really feel like a lone dude on the ground, looking up at these humongous invaders, blasting the hell out of them. This video should give you a good idea of what it’s like. Ignore the price at the end, though; I picked it up new six months ago for $17.

I really loved Resident Evil IV Wii Edition. That and Bioshock are the first came I’ve finished in a long time.

I’ll recommend Prey (360)as a fairly good and cheap game ($9.99 at GameStop…$1 off if you get the Edge card which saves 10% off of used games).

You had me at “giant cyborg dinosaur”.

I picked this up today off of your recommendation. Actually, I’ve been looking for that game at Gamestop since I read your post and finally found it used.
