Rate your fantasy draft (mock or real) here!

I think that’s a pretty good draft. Maybe picked a D too early, but you got some good value afterwards. I like Evans at 15 a lot.

Your top QB/WR/RB have all put a big numbers with a few awesome weeks for good measure. Without actually checking the Byes, it looks like you have some very nice depth. This is one of those teams where I would look at matchups closely to figure out my flex position from week to week. Not a bad decision to have to make.

Moreno is the only pick that I’m not big on but if there were no other RBs even close to comparable left, I can let that one go.

This is my first year playing FF and I would really appreciate some feedback. League is 10 teams, and was autodrafted (which was against my preferences but probably helped me to get a better team than to try myself my first time). I believe they play 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 DEF. Thank you to anyone who has anything to say about my team. (Oh yeah, I’m thinking of dropping Minnesota’s defense for Detroits D, but I’m not sure yet.)
Matt Ryan (Atl - QB)
Joe Flacco (Bal - QB)
Mike Wallace (Pit - WR)
Greg Jennings (GB - WR)
Mario Manningham (NYG - WR)
Roy Williams (Chi - WR)
Lee Evans (Bal - WR)
Michael Turner (Atl - RB)
Darren McFadden (Oak - RB)
Jahvid Best (Det - RB)
Kellen Winslow (TB - TE)
Dustin Keller (NYJ - TE)
Rob Bironas (Ten - K)
Philadelphia (Phi - DEF)
Minnesota (Min - DEF)

You REALLY need more running backs. Especially if you later learn that the roster setting allows a 3rd RB as a flex. Drop the backup TE and Defense ASAP and grab the best 2 RBs left on the waiver wire. I’d probably drop Winslow and Minnesota, but a case could be made that Winslow is better than Keller. Skip the backup defense, the Eagles are expected to be the best in the league and you won’t be starting anyone else until their bye week. Pay attention to the early results, but don’t waste a roster spot on Detroit (they are substantially better than Minnesota, but still) because they’ll very likely be available on the open market in Week 6 or a comparable team will be.

Turner is solid if unspectacular, McFadden and Best are high upside player with injury concerns. Any of these three could disappoint a lot making a 4th and possibly 5th RB very valuable. I think you could probably do better than Roy Williams and Lee Evans for backup WRs in a typical 10 team league too, but without knowing who’s out there that’s just a guess.

Everything he said.

Well, here’s how my 12-team keeper league turned out. My keepers were:

Fred Jackson (RB)
Steven Jackson (RB)
Vincent Jackson (WR)
Mike Williams (WR - Tampa Bay)

To give you an idea of what was in this draft, the top three picks were, in order, Felix Jones, Michael Turner, and Frank Gore. Also note that this was NOT a snake draft; Gates was taken at 1.09, Romo at 2.09, and so on.

ROUND 1 - Antonio Gates, TE
ROUND 2 - Tony Romo, QB
ROUND 3 - Joseph Addai, RB
ROUND 4 - NO PICK (Traded last season)
ROUND 5 - Pittsburgh Steelers DT
ROUND 6 - Cadillac Williams, RB
ROUND 7 - New York Jets DT
ROUND 8 - Andre Roberts, WR
ROUND 9 - Steve Breaston, WR
ROUND 10 - Chester Taylor, RB
ROUND 11 - Neil Rackers, PK
ROUND 12 - Mike Williams, WR (Seattle)
ROUND 13 - Jason Campbell, QB

So my final starting lineup, Week 1, will be:

QB: Romo
RB: S. Jackson
RB: F. Jackson
RB: Addai
WR: M. Williams (TB)
WR: V. Jackson
TE: Gates
DT: Pittsburgh
K: Rackers

The other teams in my division look like this:

TEAM 1: Jay Cutler, Matt Forte, Frank Gore, DeAngelo Williams, Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, Owen Daniels, Dan Carpenter, Kansas City DT

TEAM 2: Tom Brady, Ryan Matthews, Peyton Hillis, Adrian Peterson, Greg Jennings, Hakeem Nicks, Kellen Winslow, Sebastian Janikowski, New England DT

TEAM 3: Ben Roethlisberger, Reggie Bush, Tim Hightower, Darren McFadden, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Vernon Davis, Josh Brown, St. Louis DT

A lot hinges on my personal belief that Tony Romo is going to be a Top 3 fantasy quarterback this year. If I’m wrong about that, then I’m in trouble, but assuming I’m not, I like my position more than it would seem at first glance. I think my toughest competition here is Team 2. But I expect to play him even at QB. At RB he has an obvious advantage with Peterson, but I’ll take Jackson and Addai to equal or outproduce Matthews and Hillis. He’s got an edge at WR, though I expect Nicks to lose some ground from last year, but I’ve got a big edge at TE and defense (in this league, defense is way overvalued, by the way; a good DT will score as many points as a good RB in a typical week).

Let’s go Romo!

I operated one of my drafts under a similar assumption. Romo slipped down pretty far, and I figured he was great value at that point. I can’t think of a reason why he wouldn’t have at least a good year.
