ratio of views to replies - between 15 and 20

if u observe the boards carefully, u will realise that this ratio is approximately 15 to 20 though once it had gone up to 26.

this means that only 6% of the people who read the threads reply.

i just thought this was an interesting statistic

any more interesting sd statistics?

I think that 61.3% of the statistics one sees are made up on the spot.

That people who use the letter u for the word you get 63% less respect in a post might be once statistic.

"That people who use the letter u for the word you get 63% less respect in a post might be once statistic. "

atleast i use correct english even though i replace you by u

what the hell does “once statistic mean”?

It means that whenever you try to correct someone else’s grammar or spelling on a message board, you’re guaranteed to fuck up in the process.

zub, i was just contemplating this very statistic earlier today… i was too lazy to do the math though. Thanks!

Ah, Gaudere, your sting is never far away…

Here’s one: that statistic for this posting is now closer to 7, nowhere near 15 or 20.

I wonder if the rate is any different over in ATMB?

I’m still laughing about the last time someone tried to do a statistical analysis of our boards (scroll down).

zub - how many times have you viewed this thread?

Just looking at the last 50 in GQ (at the time of this sampling) we see a view:reply ratio of ~18.4:1 and considering same in The Pit we get a ratio of ~31.4:1. I’m not going to do all the forums, but you’d need to if you wanted to arrive at a generalized ratio of views to responses.

And just what would that mean, anyway?

Not quite accurate, as manny folk who respond to a thread will check back in to see if their response has generated yet another. So, on an active thread that generates manny responses, several of the views will be attributable to just one user (echoing brachy).
