It’s sad that Der Trihs is to much of a coward to actually try to defend his statements and attitudes in the pit. The OP is a clear, concise dissection of what makes Der Trihs such an enemy of the causes he claims to believe in.
I often wonder if he is aware that with his hatred and bile, he has become that which he claims turned him into the thing he most hated as a younger person. A bully, and a jerk.

I think Der Trihs is in part responsible for the Der Trihsing of GD and the Pit. Hyperbole, vitriol, and comic bookery substitute for debate and is less interesting than the policy debate that was one more common here (as I recall).
I also find his statements and actions to be in contradiction: for example, he’ll say that democrats are just as bad as republicans, but only refers to republicans as EVIL.
