I apologize for my link in this thread. Given the level of some of our TMI/gross out threads, I didn’t realize it was inapropriate. I gather from a quasi-recent GQ warning and TVeblen’s post that this was my ‘last straw.’ If this is a bannable offense, so be it. C’est la guerre.
I should at least get some kind of award for dumbest banning reason: a toiletbowl full of diarrhea.
I thought it was terribly out of place and completely pointless in that kind of thread, but I closed the link and moved on. Could barely remember what the link was about when I discovered it was removed.
I have no opinion on whether this is a bannable offense—I haven’t been following your posting habits all that closely. But if it is, that’s too bad, take care, nice knowing you, etc. etc.
I am NOT pitting TVeblen. Obviously, my behavior is my responsibility. You may note that I apologized for the link. Obviously the mods are just doing their jobs. I just get pissed off (at myself) when I post something I feel is innocuous enough and then get warned for it. I was strongly warned for being a jerk back in January or December, and I made a real effort to change my errant ways. To glide along merrily and then end up banned ten months later for some pissant offenses like making a too-flippant comment in GQ or linking to an inappropriate photo really piques my ire. At myself, primarily.
That link was disgusting and inappropriate for 99.999% of the threads on this board. But for the love of Og, we were all talking about mass produced shit. Did anyone seriously think you were linking to fuzzy pink bunnies?
On reflection, yes, you should have given more warning. You should have put up a big fat TMI in your post. But it was a momentary lapse, and I can only think the mods will see it that way after they’ve had a chance to talk amongst themselves.
