These are not the posts we were looking for.
Oh yes, it’s happened to me. I didn’t remember the thread, answered in the now, and then went back and saw my first response.
How about being the last poster to a thread and then come along 5 years later to unknowingly respond to the zombie and you kill it again?

I have to know: Is your memory that good or did you keep notes or just what?
An impressive feat, no matter which!
I just hope I’m around in five years to see how this goes…
I haven’t been here long enough, I don’t think. OTOH, I post alot. So , maybe.
Does this make this thread a zombie of a zombie? Cool.
I almost posted something here, then realized I was the OP.
Looks to me like you did just post something here.
Mostly luck, actually. A couple of months ago, I was trying to find an old post of mine and I stumbled across that one. Bookmarked it so I would remember to post.
Thanks for that. Quite logical.
Usually when I see its a zombie I do a search for posts by me. There have been a time or two when I realized it was a zombie and also realized my opinion had changed. If so I will sometimes post noting that.
I stumbled on a quick way to check if I’ve posted already. I clicked on the “number of posts” instead of the “last post” symbol at the right-hand end. A new mini-window pops up with the names of every poster. Now, that’s what I do before posting to a long existing thread.
Don’t you guys see a little check mark on the threads you’ve already posted to? I do. Maybe it depends on the skin you’re using? Or the type of device?
No checkmark on mine; classic and an older Mac.
I thought that was pretty good.
Once I did search on a topic only to find out I had started an identical thread years earlier.
So often that the virtually identical posts have been unsettling to me (cue cartoon video of me checking my skin for hidden battery compartments etc)
