Re the "Brady Bunch" mom- As a full time homemaker why did she need a full time maid?

It would have been too obvious to name “Alice” as “Hazel”!! :smack:

Oh yeah. I’d still do her.

That’s a Father’s little helper.

True enough, his partner’s name was Earl. He ran a fabulous art gallery down on La Cienega that dabbled in Colombian Gold out the back loading dock.

kunilou, I am frightened by the level of back-story and behind-the-scenes understanding you have of this show. :stuck_out_tongue:

Cartooniverse

Umm, thanks? I’m not sure whether you flatter me or are suggesting I seek professional help.

Both.

Now, if you knew as much at The Partridge Family, I’d gladly become your house-boy.

–sweet sigh of innocent youthful love, etc. –

Ahhhh, Laurie, Laurie, Laurie.

Why not just use Paul Lynde?

Permanent press and fast food have already been covered, so I’ll just add that plenty of convenience foods were available to Brady-era families. Swanson introduced the TV dinner in 1954. Chef Boy-ar-dee dinners were on grocery shelves by the 1950’s. SpaghettiOs were introduced in 1965. Of course, had any of these products appeared in the Brady household, the identifying logos and photos would have been covered with generic-looking labels.

I have trouble believing Alice and Carol would be making Spaghetti-O’s for dinner. Aren’t Meatloaf and Pork Chops (and applesauce, of course) more their style?
