True enough, his partner’s name was Earl. He ran a fabulous art gallery down on La Cienega that dabbled in Colombian Gold out the back loading dock.

Permanent press and fast food have already been covered, so I’ll just add that plenty of convenience foods were available to Brady-era families. Swanson introduced the TV dinner in 1954. Chef Boy-ar-dee dinners were on grocery shelves by the 1950’s. SpaghettiOs were introduced in 1965. Of course, had any of these products appeared in the Brady household, the identifying logos and photos would have been covered with generic-looking labels.
