Re: What are the concluding lyrics to the Flintstone theme song? (Sort Of)

Sort of inspired by What are the concluding lyrics to the Flintstone theme song?

I can’t figure out what African American?/Hispanic? woman is saying at the very beginning of the Michael Franti song, Say Hey.

I hear “…come dance…” for sure. Then she says “…electra!”? “Come dance electra!”? That doesn’t make any sense.

Here is the video and song, in case you don’t know what I am talking about.

And as long as I am posting this song and question, feel free to post your own questions. It seems to me likely I am not the only person who has wondered what on earth they could be saying, in a particular song.

And BTW, as long as we are talking about Say Hey and Michael Franti, doesn’t he look hot in that video? I have only been noticing bi-racial men recently. But that’s too bad. Because some of them are quite nice, I’ve noticed. You don’t have to comment on that, if you don’t want to.

But the lyrics thing couldn’t just be my issue, as I said.

Don’t know, could it be another language than english?

Yes, back in those days, “gay” meant happy in a carefree way.

I always sang it as “… with some cheese and luncheon meat “

Heh. We saw Michael Franti the last time he came to Pittsburgh. He came down into the audience and sang/danced in our aisle. He was hot. He dripped all over us!
