I’m honestly surprised not to see this here, and that it’s not a bigger story (although I realize there are some really big stories going on in the U.S. this week). Dr. Oumair Aejaz, a Michigan physician, was turned in by his very courageous and no doubt frightened wife, and he seems to have been an equal-opportunity victimizer, a la Jimmy Savile.
This is so horrible, that a person would abuse their patients’ trust, and the public’s too, in this way.
I knew a guy in a different field who was arrested and incarcerated for the same thing. Shocking.
So upsetting. Another doctor for young athletes. Children and adults.
Sound familiar? Dr. Nassau and the Olympic gymnasts?
And no telling how many more.
It’s a disgusting state of affairs.
As a parent and grandparent , I’m concerned about this, as any conscious person should.
As that article states, maybe the unconscious should be cautious as well.
I’m fretful and nervous about the youngest, most vulnerable of us ALL.
I’m so glad it’s being reported.
This crap has got to be eliminated.

I swear if one person says he has a mental disorder or some shit about him being abused as a child I’ll lose my mind.

In today’s super-heated political climate, this may have unfortunate political implications. How quickly we forget homegrown predators like Roy Moore who was chief justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama (twice, and twice removed from office for judicial misconduct) and ran for the US senate while being accused of sexually abusing teenage girls, and a very long list of others.
The Oakland County (MI) sheriff could’ve phrased his indignation a bit better.
They’re probably in as much shock about this as anybody.

Multiple devices have illicit videos on them, and he even did his “thing” at a pool where children were having swimming lessons! I don’t think authorities are anywhere near cataloging everything, and local people have filed a class action lawsuit, for starters.
I’ve never read such an article about this crime because I knew I’d be enraged!

I agree with you there. He should be put in the general prison population for life, however long that would be.
I can mostly parse what was (supposed to be) written, but yikes, somewhere out there is a copy editor who needs … sleep? substance abuse counseling? a new job?
Seems to be not that uncommon around me. I know both of these MDs.
