I personally liked (and still do to this day) NBC’s Proud N logo of 1979-86, and I still think that such was the best of NBC’s logos (outside of the similar, yet quite different, early peacock). You can find both here:
I don’t know about cool, but I still think it turned out pretty good. Eventually. After I had marinated in procrastination for so long that my fingers and toes pruned.
That one is interesting. Makes me think of the Exposlogo. M for Montreal, b for baseball and e for Expos.

I see their trucks now and then, and always liked their clever logo.
I’m partial to the one for US Bank. It’s kind of a stretch, but the red patch sticks down just a bit like Texas does on a map of the US, and the end ‘k’ sticks up, down, and out just a bit like Maine and Florida do. Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s intentional.
I’ve always loved this logo of the Minnesota Twins, with Minneapolis and St. Paul holding hands across the river.
Are you sure that’s real, and not from a photoshop contest or something?
