Really good music videos

Sigur Ros - Svefn-g-englar

Dead Can Dance - The Host of Seraphim

No love for FatBoy Slim / Christopher Walken?

And of course:

Johnny Cash - Hurt

The original:

Nine Inch Nails - Hurt

Several good videos in a recent thread I started: “One shot” music video appreciation thread

Lots of YouTube links too! Enjoy.

ETA: Expect a " :smack: " from **Tapioca Dextrin ** in exactly 5, 4, 3…

Rabbit in the Headlights - Unkle (featuring Thom Yorke)

Make sure you watch it all the way through.

psst See post 17.

Search youtube for videos from Spike Jonze (who made the Fatboy Slim “dancing-in-the-mall”-video), Michel Gondry (Bjørk, White Stripes), and Chris Cunningham (Bjørk, Aphex Twin). Three of the best, most innovative music video directors IMO. Enjoy.

I predict myself to make the " smack " smilie in exactly 5, 4, 3…

That actually isn’t a videoclip but a part of the movie Baraka.
You might want to check out that movie if you are into beautiful imagery set to beautiful music.

Yea, I was going to mention that, but since that piece of video seems to be the one most associated with the song I thought I’d let it slide.

It is an extraordinary film, I agree.

One of my personal faves: “Right Now” by Van Halen. It’s a lot more thought-provoking than most:

Aphex Twin: Rubber Jonny

Fatboy Slim’s Weapon of Choice. Christopher Walken dancing? HELL YES.

Absolutely! The man is a pretty good dancer and it looks like he had a blast filming the video.

My picks are:

The Perfect Drug-NiN
King Nothing-Metallica
*Slang & Work It Out-*Def Leppard
Lucas With The Lid Off-Lucas

Suddenly this AMV makes a lot more sense.

Oh come on! How 'bout some Thriller? The awesome~est video ever made. I mean, I know it’s Michael Jackson and he’s turned into a monsterous freak but THRILLER come ON! The dancing. The '80s clothes. I showed it to my pre-teens a few months ago and they were enthralled. Thriller!

The long version of Smooth Criminal - Michael Jackson.

Recent thread:

Videoclips with a high: " how did they do THAT?" factor.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have consistently put out good videos such as this.

Respectively, those are “Virtual Insanity” by Jamiroquai, “Thriller,” and Metallica’s “One.”

By the way, anybody who RickRolls in this thread will be drawn and quartered.
