Today I was third in line at a stop light. The left lane was completely open, so as I pulled up to the light I had the option of either being first in line in the left lane or 3rd in line in the right. I opted for the latter as I would be turning right in about a 1/2 mile and figure I didn’t want to race the other cars up there or possibly have to force my way in. Well, just as the light turned green for us the car in front of me put on their blinker, which wasn’t on before. And then it turns out a pedestrian was crossing the street, so we had to wait about another 20 seconds for them to cross. That made it so I missed the next light and had to wait for that.
So because the dufus in front of me couldn’t be bothered to turn on their blinker until they were actually starting the turn, I lost at least a couple of extra minutes. It was annoying, but nothing to get really riled up about. If they had had their turn signal on as they waited for the light I could have gone into the left lane and merge in ahead of them beyond the light, made the next light and been on my merry way. Just a little annoying people don’t really know how to use a turn signal.
