A pretty funny website along the lines of Awkward Family Photos, it captures those moments in a toddler’s life when they are irrationaly upset at the world around them. My particular favorite is Conan 'O Brien’s “There are too many oranges in this bowl”
“He met Iron Man… out of costume.”
Bwhaaa… some of these are hilarious.
I was with some friends one time and their daughter had a huge crying fit because she was the only person in the van who didn’t have a sister.
My little cousin, Kathleenie, sobbed all the way home from a wedding shower because she didn’t get to see the shower.
My grand-niece once had a huge meltdown because she didn’t want to use a roasting fork for toasting marshmallows. She wanted to put marshmallows on her fingers and put her hand into the fire.
This was about 15 minutes after her meltdown when a chipmunk stole a piece of graham cracker and none of us would chase it. She didn’t want another graham cracker, she wanted THAT one.
Reminds me of an exploration and development presentation I gave to coworker spouses and kids where the little girl cried at the end because she didn’t get to see the oil whales that I’d promised.
I got a great picture of my son throwing a fit because I was giving candy away to trick-o-treaters.
When my son was five, my husband checked on him in the bath and he was crying. When asked what was wrong he said,
“I am sad that all the dinosaurs are dead.”
Note that there had been no talk of dinosaurs recently.
I don’t have any immediate stories about my little guy but I do like the website (saw it back when it first launched). Makes you feel better as a parent that your kid is just going through the same confused emotional development as every other kid and that crying because the cat was sniffing the tops of his favorite shoes is perfectly normal.
Why did you give candy to those strangers at the door!
The horrors of Halloween.
I can’t believe you just gave candy away
