Years ago I participated in a quasi-new aged seminar which practiced and promoted the art of “Rebirthing”, a psychotherapy derived form of meditation which involved controlled hyperventilation. It was very cathartic and an interesting experience. I am told that it evolved from a particular Doctor’s therapy sessions which started as a hypnosis-regression to discover childhood events, etc. and which ended in the patient experiencing their birth and spontaneosly going into this “rebirthing” thing. What do you know of this, and what are the dangers and benefits? My brother tried it and went into convultions and four of us had to hold him down while he pounded the floor and screamed. Oh, great and powerful Cecil, please advise.
Ah don’ know nothin’ about re-birthin’, Mizz Scarlet!
I have a feeling Eve (or anybody else for that matter) could read this on-line book and still not know anything about it.

First there was “embracing the inner child”. Now there is “rebirthing”. Why do I suspect that we’ll soon see a pop psychology movement that involves swimming across a pool and butting your head into a beach ball?
What a great idea, Nemo! You come up with a name for it and I’ll invent an underwater E-meter. We’ll make a fortune. 50-50!
