Am I the only person gobsmacked that a transgendered Kardashian is a Republican?
According to the article linked above: “socially liberal but fiscally conservative candidate”… yes they do exist.
Well…technically not a Kardashian. And there are some Republican’s that can understand a “lesbian trapped in a man’s body”.
Don’t know of any transgendered republicans in office now. I believe a few have run and lost. TV and Movie people have a good track record of winning races.

In 2018, after the president pushed anti-trans policies, Jenner said she made a mistake in backing him.
As Jenner builds a campaign staff, she is reportedly surrounded by some Trump loyalists, including a fundraiser associated with the rally that preceded the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Jenner was spotted dining Thursday night at Tuscany il Ristorante in Westlake Village with former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale, along with former state GOP chairman Frank Visco, actor John O’Hurley, businessman Zack Schuler and others.
She’s tainted by Trump, and thus unelectable, as far as I’m concerned.
Especially in California. (Reagan, Schwarzenegger…)
If I were a Californian, I would agree, Pleonast.
She’s just unelectable, period. Democrats won’t vote for her because she’s a Republican. Republicans won’t vote for her because she’s trans. And she’s largely loathed by the LGBT community.
I think there’s a good chance that this is a scam - not by Jenner, but on Jenner. Some reptile has recognized her as a person with a lot of money, not too many brains, and an outsized sense of her own cultural importance, and has decided to leverage those into a do-nothing job as a campaign manager for a campaign that he knows is dead on arrival.

I largely ignore the Kardashian solar system; why is she loathed?
I think she is not liked because she backed Trump in 2016 even though she later came out against him. Also very few LGBT people are Republican.
For celebs Obama was helped by an early endorsement from Oprah.

Is it just me, or does it seem like there are a number of candidates (and elected officials) who are not primarily driven by a passion for public service?
The campaign website has no policy positions but a link to order merchandise. Judge for yourself if it’s a grift or not.
Mostly because she was pro-Trump in 2016.

I think we knew which it was the moment Brad Parscale’s name came up.
Jenner will end up doing harm to the cause of trans rights, Newsom will continue in office, and Brad Parscale will manage to make big bucks.
