I should add that it’s for me. I am 24, and my mental age is atleast that.
We seem to be getting a lot of threads about this lately. But that’s OK. Drawing is good. 
I recommend “How to Draw on the Right Side of the Brain.” This is a tried-and-true method that I have seen work very well. I’ve also gone through the book (even after I already knew how to draw pretty well) and found much enlightenment from it. Here’s the author’s website. Check out the gallery to see the “before and after” examples of students’ works.
