After many bad experiences, and a few years away, I find myself in need of a dentist. I’d welcome any recommendations or stories people have, of dentists in the Boston area (South Shore, preferably, or Downtown/Financial District) or national groups (I think something like Gentle Dental might fit this?).
I’m looking to incur the least amount of pain, and I’m willing to pay above what Blue Cross will cover. I also don’t want to be chastised for my poor dental hygiene.
I have either low pain tolerance or high resistance to lidocaine… or both. Therefore, I have no objection to anasthesia. (I had some for my wisdom teeth removal, and that was fine.) I know nitrous oxide is sometimes used, and I’d be fine with that, I think, if I knew a bit more.
Does anyone have a dentist that they love, and hopefully fits these criteria? I’m open to suggestions! I thank you, and I think my teeth do too.
