Let’s see I’ve been here over 8 months and have recently passed 300 posts. But does anyone know what I’ve posted? Does anybody recognize the name Wolverine?
Then I got a brainstorm for a game. Have people recognize the previous poster from a particularly good post they had. Then the next poster would recognize them. Since we would be starting with me, possible examples would include my first post about my favorite children’s books or the post I had describing the population spread in the state of Michigan. Preferably the posts would be of good quality but any memorable posts would work.
This would allow long time posters a chance to be recognized for some of their great work or slower posters like myself to know that others recognize they exist.
Rule change: If nobody recognizes the previous poster (namely me), then feel free to choose anyone you want to recognize for doing a good job. I meant this to be a more complimenting type thread than a popularity or flirting one.
Well, I’ve seen you all over the superhero/X-men threads, Wolvie–I bet jarbabyj remembers you. (If only for that…lullabye…in her “book rejected” thread. I remember you from anime and game threads, too–we agree on a lot of things about those subjects. I seem to recall spitting programming fluid at my monitor during the Calvinball game because of you–you had teleported out of your clothes, so I whistled for jarbaby.
Simetra, I recognize you from the well wishes you gave me and my future wife in my “Should I write my own wedding vows?” thread. I never did say thanks, so thanks!
A post I remember most is one by Fenris. He made a particularly good post in a thread I started about crazy world domination schemes involving a re-work of the “Pinky and the Brain” theme song.
I would also like to recognise FairyChatMom for giving me a “do over” on my student teaching days.
I can’t remember the thread, but just the fact that you posted became a memorable event for me – and a good laugh.
My wife, a casual lurker, came across your name in a subsequent post…someone was answering your question. So the sentence began -
“WIGGUM, blah blah blah blah…”
So my wife says “I know most of the shorthands like IMHO and FWIW, but what does WIGGUM stand for?”
Then it took ME several minutes of WAG before I remembered it was your name, not an acronym! :insert forehead slap here:

I know Paul, of course, from the Teeming Millionaires III competition, but also from a really funny post in Scyllas “My daughter thinks I’m a liar” thread.
I know thinksnow from manny places, but most recently for his Star Wars thread over in IMHO. And come on…who could forget a guy who was a good sport about wearing pink fuzzy bunny ears?
punha brings to mind rather…shall we say, personal requests from his roommate. I also know that he got his name from a mispronunciation of a childhood stuffed animal (Paddington, Winnie the Pooh, I know it’s a bear dammit). I also know that he has a propensity for offering to doff his shirt at the drop of a hat.
