It’s just not very good.
Another Clive Owens flick with some terrific action sequences is Children of Men
It’s the most Die Haaard tiiiiiime of the year.
Heh, thanks everyone. There were, I think, three replies to this thread at 7pm last night when I was settling down to choose a movie. So thanks to ** Jack Batty, Prof. Periwinkle and pkbites **, whose considerations I considered but ultimately rejected (I’ve seen most of them).
Thanks to everyone else as well. I’m on a train, posting from my phone; it’s not easy to comment on each suggestion individually, but I have read them all. All good shouts; I’ve seen many (but not all) of the suggested films (including Rob Roy), so I’m going to create a “films to watch” list on Evernote to avoid that choice anxiety next time!
In the end, I went for Logan. I realise this kind of misses my own requirements for something fun, and I knew it was much darker than the other X-flicks, but I realised Mrs Snowman isn’t likely to enjoy the violence in it, so this was my chance. I enjoyed it.
