I don’t care if it’s bluetooth or wired, it just needs to have good sound quality and be affordable. I’ve had a bluetooth headset in the past (years ago) that people would always complain about not being able to understand me, so I’m leaning toward wired…
If you go for bluetooth, look for one that has a separate on/off switch. A lot of them have a single button that basically does everything. Press once to answer a call. Press twice quickly to redial the last number. Press-and-hold to turn it off.
As you can imagine, I’ve accidentally redialled people on numerous occasions. It’s a major annoyance.
That said, another thing to look for is one that has the same charger plug as your phone. If your phone takes a mini-usb connector, get a headset that does the same. That means you only have to have one charger with you. I bought an LG bluetooth headset for that very reason, when I carried an LG headphone.
Now that I have a car stereo with bluetooth built in, I don’t use it any more. That’s a surprisingly nice feature to have if you’re ever upgrading your sound system. But it isn’t a cheap option!
