Recommend a good non-Grisham legal novel

Interesting that this one should come up in a Grisham-related thread. Because Grisham “borrowed” heavily from Anatomy of A Murder when he wrote A Time To Kill.

I just finished Secret Sanction by Brian Haig. Damned good book, with a decidedly snarky narrator. In the beginning, the main character works out of the same building in Fort Bragg where my dad worked.

Not exactly fiction, but very legal and very funny are “Uncommon law” and “More uncommon law” by A.P. Herbert.

Alexander Haig’s son Brian write JAAG type books, They are witty and a good read.
