Recommend a TV crime show

Mindhunter (Netflix) was excellent as well. Really great acting by the array of serial killers.

Marcella (Netflix) also very watchable. Especially Season 1.

Another season-long arc show from the BBC: Baptiste. It’s a 2019 production that was shown in 6 episodes on Masterpiece Mystery.

I was very impressed by this; it’s set mainly in Amsterdam but has an international cast (and is mostly in English with subtitles for some scenes with other languages). The only two performers I recognized are English: Tom Hollander and Anastasia Hille, both of whom have been in some of the shows mentioned upthread.

Very twisty and well-written.

One series that we really liked that you might like is Trapped. It’s an Icelandic mystery series. The dialog is in Icelandic but the subtitles are good. It’s not everybodys cup o’ tea, but we loved it.

Glad to see that ‘Unforgotten’ is on for another season.

We also watched a lot of Silent Witness but it’s not a season long story arc sorta show.

Just remembered Loch Ness. I liked it quite a bit. Interesting to see a show set in a town that I only knew because of, well, the monster. And it took me more than one episode to realize the policewoman was Lydia from Breaking Bad.

Yeah, liked that one.

Yeesh. AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO REMEMBSRS HELEN MIRREN IN PRIME SUSPECT? That series was brilliant. So were many other mystery series that could have shown on Masterpiece Theatre, but were not, as long as Mystery! was there to grab them.

Sorry to bump this thread, but just wanted to say thanks for recommending this show. I’ve been binge-watching it since you mentioned it! It’s pretty great.
